Fijian Monkey-Faced Bat
These bats are on the critically endangered list due to habitat loss. I saw these for a day or two before realizing what they were. Because of their size, I thought they were crows. After further research, I found these bats grow up to 16 inches in length with wingspans up to 5 feet.

Awesome catch!
Whoa! That’s amazing!
Hi, I’m an admin for a group called Chiroptera (Bats), and we’d love to have this added to the group!
Hello, please note that the photo is of Pteropus tonganus (Tongan fruit bat) commonly seen around Fiji, and listed as Least Concern on IUCN list. The Fiji monkey-faced bat has been seen by only about 6 people ever – it is extremely rare. See http://www.naturefiji.org/endspecies.php?info=Fijian Flying Fox for more information.
