Avast Removal – How To Remove Avast From Your Computer In Seconds?

Avast Antivirus is one of the popular antivirus products in the market today, it is used by a number of PC users and it has been awarded the highest “Advanced+” rating following tests carried out by AV-Comparatives. Of course while your PC will be much safer with this program installed, sometimes you may want to remove Avast for various reasons, such as to conserve system memory in an underpowered machine. Whatever the reason for needing to get rid of it, I’ve listed all the procedures available for doing this below:
Method 1 The standard way to remove Avast
Step 1 Start – Control Panel – Add or Remove Programs
Step 2 Find and highlight the antivirus and click Uninstall.
Step 3 Click Remove to confirm this removal.
Method 2 Use the Avast Uninstall Utility
If for some reason the normal uninstall does not work, you may have to download its own Uninstall Utility.
Step 1 Download this Utility
Step 2 Open the file ASWCLEAR and run it.
Step 3 Find out the folder where Avast is installed, it is often in the Program Files directory Ex. C:\Program Files\Avast.
Be very careful which folder you choose since whatever folder is chosen will be completely deleted from your computer. If you choose the wrong one, it may bring a disaster to your computer.
Method 3 Reinstall the latest Avast and then uninstall it
If for some reason the uninstall utility does not remove it, you may have to reinstall a newer version of Avast and then proceed to uninstall.
However, what if all the tips above fail? Don’t worry! We still have a simpler and quicker solution.
Method 4 Fully Remove Avast in seconds
