An early version of Counter-Strike was 1.5, then came 1.6 which is still rather popular, and quite inexpensive. Then Condition Zero was released, followed by Condition Zero The Deleted Scenes, and then finally Counter-Strike Source was released, which is the latest version. There’s a popular commercial mod. for it out called Gary’s Mod. Counter-Strike was the multiplayer version of Half Life. However, to play Counter-Strike you don’t need Half Life. Here’s some info on the actual gameplay: Counter-Strike is an FPS, and the objective of the game is to either eliminate the other team completely or win by completing the objective. There are two teams, the terrorists, and the counter-terrorists. There are sub classes within these teams. You can buy weapons as you get points for completing either the objectives or killing players on the enemy team. There various types of weapons, from dual pistols to sniping rifles. There are also various mods. for all versions of Counter-Strike, aside from Gary’s mod., Gun Game is another popular one. The more kills you get, the better of a weapon you get. Overall, Counter-Strike is a good multiplayer game at a reasonable price tag. The old versions cost under , while Source is a bit more than that, but it’s worth it. It has superior graphics as well as plenty of mods. to keep gameplay interesting.
