Now Motorola Droid 2 has been officially announced, Adobe wants to make sure that everyone knows will be the first phone to be completely redesigned, Flash Player 10.1 out of the box.
Flash 10.1, currently in beta(version 3) on the Android Market, but we were told that the final version will be posted shortly. We have no confirmation on which version of Flash hits the Droid 2, but Im going to assume the final version is ready and Motorola already has it.
Other devices with Android 2.2 should see the Flash 10.1 next week. Adobe claims that Incredible HTC, Samsung S Galaxy, Motorola Milestone Droid X and others will support Flash Player 10.1 will be fast and keep us posted on updates.
New leak propose to see the original Flash 10.1 Droid Android Market on August 18 so keep an eye on that day for other devices as well.
Update Adobe sent us a statement to clarify which version of the Flash navigation on 10.1 Droid 2 and other devices.
Adobe Flash Player, released in June to 10.1 OEM partners and platforms around the world. This is the final version, that partners like HTC and Verizon / Motorola to distribute to their customers. Flash Player 10.1 for Android by Adobe

Flash Player 10.1 had just arrived on Android smartphone in a completely rewritten version. A public beta will be available in June for the devices under Froyo (Android 2.2) is considered to be too powerful by Adobe.

Faced with criticism from Apple, Adobe has a copy adapted to the constraints for smartphones. The program includes video playback with hardware decoding, new smart zoom and a management report to the screen, but for only Android version 2.2, which has just been unveiled.

Adobe is also responsible for testing equipment and to define those who will have access to Flash in the Android Market. Android 2.2 installed on a smartphone first generation did not automatically open the doors to Flash.

The first big news is the arrival of the hardware acceleration for Flash, especially playing H.264 files for better performance and especially lower consumption, leading to a playback time of three hours depending on the Nexus One Adobe.

Adobe promises that the software is optimized for each hardware architecture, in collaboration with industry members Open Screen Projection.

A single Flash file for office and mobile

Other systems will soon host the drive, including Windows 7 Phone, Palm / HP webOS, BlackBerry and Symbian on dates unknown.

Adobe will also work with manufacturers for integration into their future tablets, such as HP.

Supported devices for the Android Public Beta include the Google Nexus One and others as Froyo becomes available to the device. Flash Player 10.1 is the first runtime release of the Open Screen Project that enables uncompromised Web browsing of expressive applications, content and video across devices.

After months of development and beta testing, Adobe has finally released the latest non-beta version of its Flash Player, version 10.1, available now for Mac, Windows and Linux at Adobe’s website, with Android soon to follow.

In many ways, this latest version of Flash can be seen as a direct response to Apple and CEO Steve Jobs’ recent attention-getting essay, “Thoughts on Flash”. The underlying code has largely been re-written to make it faster, less power hungry and to beef up its security.

The new runtime is notable in that it consumes less system memory than the previous version, and even has a fail-safe that will allow the player to shut itself off if it detects memory is running too low. It can also prioritize the amount of processing power each instance of Flash sucks up, which should prevent your browser or even entire operating system from freezing up. As for security, the new Flash honors the rules of a browser’s private browsing mode by not caching any data.

10.1 also supports hard-ware accelerated h.264 video decoding, better HTTP streaming, multicasting, a new buffering system, as well as support for multi-touch input surfaces… an absolute requirement if Adobe is going to manage to thwart Apple and remain a major player in the upcoming tablet and smartphone wars.

Regardless of how you feel about Flash, on desktops and laptops, it’s still a necessity of the web, and there is no reason not to grab this significant update: it’s better in every conceivable way. You can grab it directly from Adobe at the link below.

Adobe Systems Incorp, California based company has announced a new Flash player for Smartphones, Macs and other mobile internet devices, called Flash Player 10.1. The new version will be available by the first half of the next year and it is the first time that users will get the identical version of Flash on mobile and PC systems. Also, the company provides facility to download Flash directly on the phone rather than bundling with the operating system.

Compatibility of new Flash Player

Flash Player 10.1 will run Adobe AIR applications directly on Smartphones. However, the application would not be available on every Smartphone operating system. The list of operating system includes Symbian Series 60, Android, Windows Mobile, Palm WebOS and others will shortly join the list. According to the company, a Beta version for WinMo 6.5 and Palm WebOS will be available by 2009 end, while for Android and Symbian operating system would arrive early in 2010.

The present version of Adobe flash player (Flash Player 10) was launched back in 2008 and now about 40% of new handsets have the basic Flash Lite technology. Further, users can expect full Flash player in all upcoming Smartphones from next year. The company has been also working with RIM for future availability of its Flash Player on Blackberry Smartphones.

Flash Player 10.1: Boon for Smartphone users

The new Adobe Flash technology will offer a key experience on new Windows based mobile phones and other Smartphones. It will enable Smartphone users to enjoy rich Flash based games, streaming videos and other interactive Web content on the move. The company also said that the new flash player will offer uncompromised Web browsing applications, content and high definition videos on future Smartphones without consuming much mobile’s battery.

Flash Player 10.1 will also help consumers to use mobile-specific features such as multi-touch, gestures and the accelerometer. The new platform will be supported by various mobile vendors. Nokia has already shipped more than 400 million phones with existing Flash technology and will support the new Flash technology in mobiles and other internet devices, the company said.

Besides 50 other companies, Google may also join the Adobe’s Open Screen project announced earlier this year to work on Android Flash player, which indicates collaboration for providing a Flash player and AIR to Android operating system. Further, Adobe is also working to optimize the technology targeting Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips, Nvidia’s Tegra and other Ion chips.

The company also added that its software engineers have increased the Flash’s operating performance by 87% and reduced memory consumption by 55 percent in Flash Player 10.1.

The new Flash Player 10.1 will also feature a new initiative, called Zeri to take benefits of media delivery with HTTP streaming that integrates content protection powered by Adobe Flash Access 2.0. The new feature will be an open format based on industry standards.

Flash on Phones: A Threat?

Earlier, Apple Inc, the famous iPhone maker has publicly condemned Adobe’s Flash technology, calling the technology is much slower and inefficient for mobile devices. Now, Apple’s iPhone operating system is the only major platform that is not supported by Flash 10.1. However, Adobe has said that its Adobe Flash content is present on more than 85 percent of the top 100 websites and about 75 percent of all web-based videos use Flash.

Adobe Flash Player 10.1: A transition for mobile applications

Adobe Systems Incorp, California based company has announced a new Flash player for Smartphones, Macs and other mobile internet devices, called Flash Player 10.1. The new version will be available by the first half of the next year and it is the first time that users will get the identical version of Flash on mobile and PC systems. Also, the company provides facility to download Flash directly on the phone rather than bundling with the operating system.

Compatibility of new Flash Player

Flash Player 10.1 will run Adobe AIR applications directly on Smartphones. However, the application would not be available on every Smartphone operating system. The list of operating system includes Symbian Series 60, Android, Windows Mobile, Palm WebOS and others will shortly join the list. According to the company, a Beta version for WinMo 6.5 and Palm WebOS will be available by 2009 end, while for Android and Symbian operating system would arrive early in 2010.

The present version of Adobe flash player (Flash Player 10) was launched back in 2008 and now about 40% of new handsets have the basic Flash Lite technology. Further, users can expect full Flash player in all upcoming Smartphones from next year. The company has been also working with RIM for future availability of its Flash Player on Blackberry Smartphones.

Flash Player 10.1: Boon for Smartphone users

Flash Player 10.1 will also help consumers to use mobile-specific features such as multi-touch, gestures and the accelerometer. The new platform will be supported by various mobile vendors. Nokia has already shipped more than 400 million phones with existing Flash technology and will support the new Flash technology in mobiles and other internet devices, the company said.

Besides 50 other companies, Google may also join the Adobe’s Open Screen project announced earlier this year to work on Android Flash player, which indicates collaboration for providing a Flash player and AIR to Android operating system. Further, Adobe is also working to optimize the technology targeting Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips, Nvidia’s Tegra and other Ion chips.

The company also added that its software engineers have increased the Flash’s operating performance by 87% and reduced memory consumption by 55 percent in Flash Player 10.1.

The new Flash Player 10.1 will also feature a new initiative, called Zeri to take benefits of media delivery with HTTP streaming that integrates content protection powered by Adobe Flash Access 2.0. The new feature will be an open format based on industry standards.

Flash on Phones: A Threat?

Earlier, Apple Inc, the famous iPhone maker has publicly condemned Adobe’s Flash technology, calling the technology is much slower and inefficient for mobile devices. Now, Apple’s iPhone operating system is the only major platform that is not supported by Flash 10.1. However, Adobe has said that its Adobe Flash content is present on more than 85 percent of the top 100 websites and about 75 percent of all web-based videos use Flash.
