Montgomery Gentry Tickets – Montgomery Gentry Honored With Acm Award Before Awards Show!

The 45th annual Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards aren’t until April 18, but Montgomery Gentry is already a winner. ACM Awards host Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton announced this year’s batch of nominees on CBS’ The Early Show on March 2, also revealing that Montgomery Gentry will be honored with the ACM/Home Depot Award this year.

The Boot reports that one-half of the duo, Eddie Montgomery, said of receiving the prestigious honor, “Thanks to everyone out there who has helped us to get where we are today. We just want to make sure we do our part in making the world a little better.”

Montgomery Gentry is following in the footsteps of country artists like LeAnn Rimes and Rascal Flatts, past recipients of the Humanitarian Award. Eddie Montgomery and bandmate Troy Gentry have donated their time and raised funds to support a myriad of causes, such as the U.S. military, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Hospice of the Bluegrass, Make-a-Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee, Camp Horsin’ Around in Lexington, Ky., TJ Martell Foundation, Leukemia & Lymphoma Foundation, Multiple Myeloma Foundation and more.

The Academy of Country Music isn’t just recognizing Montgomery Gentry for the duo’s good deeds, however, as the group earned a nomination in the Top Vocal Duo of the Year category. Montgomery Gentry will compete against Brooks & Dunn, Joey + Rory, Steel Magnolia and Sugarland for the prize at the 45th annual awards show. The 2010 edition of the ACM Awards will be held at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 18.

The list of presenters and performers for the ACM Awards has yet to be announced, but CMT.com revealed on March 2 that Montgomery Gentry will host the ACM Chairman’s Ride as part of the festivities taking place during the week of the awards show. After hosting the invitation-only motorcycle ride, Montgomery Gentry and Randy Houser are slated to perform a free private show for those stationed at the Nellis Air Force Base outside of Sin City. Other events that week include free concerts by Lady Antebellum and Miranda Lambert.

Montgomery Gentry is currently finishing up the duo’s seventh studio album, Freedom, which will arrive via Columbia Nashville later this year. The lead single off Freedom, “Oughta Be More Songs about That,” arrived in November 2009 and debuted at No. 59 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. Produced by Blake Chancey and recorded in the country music capital of Nashville, the album includes a track with the working title “Shotgun Wedding” as well as the patriotic track “Freedom Never Goes out of Style.”

LeAnn’s 4th video. LeAnn is the original singer of this song not Trisha Yearwood. (read history below). Albums: You Light Up My Life: Inspirational Songs & Greatest Hits Writer: Diane Warren © 1997 Curb Records, Inc. History of How Do I Live: “How Do I Live” is a 1997 song, written by Diane Warren, that was released originally by LeAnn Rimes, and shortly afterward by Trisha Yearwood. The song was originally intended for release as a single for the 1997 action blockbuster Con Air soundtrack. Warren wrote the song for Rimes to sing. The producers felt that Rimes’s version had too much of a pop feeling to it, and requested that she re-record it to fit their standards. She refused, and the producers chose Trisha Yearwood to record the song. Her more country-style version was released on May 27, 1997 and appeared in the film. When Rimes heard of the release, she quickly released her version. Despite only peaking as high as number seven in the UK Singles Chart, LeAnn Rimes’ version of How Do I Live spent thirty-four weeks in the chart. It set a record for staying on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for sixty-nine weeks. The song entered the Top 25 US Country singles chart on June 21, 1997 and was still there in February 2003, a record 291 weeks (five and half years) later. How Do I Live was covered by FIR (Faye and Real featuring LeAnn Rimes). FIR invited Rimes to record a portion of the song for their third album Flight Tribe in 2006. The song has also been performed on the hit

Jason Aldean Tickets ? Three CMT Music Awards Nominations for Jason Aldean

Along with Lady Antebellum, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean led the pack of nominees for the upcoming CMT Music Awards. The four country acts secured three nominations apiece when the finalists for the upcoming awards show were announced on May 11. The first round of nominations were announced in April and fans voted to strip each category down to just four finalists, although finalists for the coveted Video of the Year won’t be announced until the beginning of the CMT Music Awards, which will be held in the country music capital of Nashville on June 9.

Jason Aldean’s “The Truth” is in the running for the Video of the Year honor, along with Toby Keith’s “American Ride,” Carrie Underwood’s “Cowboy Casanova,” Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now,” Kenny Chesney’s “Out Last Night,” Keith Urban’s “‘Til Summer Comes Around,” Zac Brown Band’s “Toes,” Brad Paisley’s “Welcome to the Future,” Miranda Lambert’s “White Liar” and Taylor Swift’s “You Belong with Me.” Fans can begin voting for their pick out of the 10 nominees via text message at the beginning of the CMT Awards, which will be hosted by Kid Rock.

“The Truth” is also nominated in the Male Video of the Year category. Aldean will compete against Toby Keith’s “American Ride,” Billy Currington’s “People Are Crazy,” Tim McGraw’s “Southern Voice” and Keith Urban’s “‘Til Summer Comes Around.” Jason Aldean’s third nomination is in the Collaborative Video of the Year category, for “Heaven,” his duet with Bryan Adams. The other three songs nominated for Collaborative Video of the Year are “Best Days of Your Life” (Kellie Pickler and Taylor Swift), “Hillbilly Bone” (Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins) and “I’m Alive” (Kenny Chesney and Dave Matthews).

Country’s biggest stars will flock to Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena for the awards show on June 9, and many of those stars—including Jason Aldean—will return to the venue for a benefit concert on June 22. Country power couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are putting on the “Nashville Rising: A Benefit Concert for Flood Recovery” in order to assist victims of the floods that wreaked havoc on Nashville and Middle Tennessee. McGraw and Hill will perform along with Jason Aldean, Lynyrd Skynyrd, LeAnn Rimes, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Michael W. Smith, Miranda Lambert, Amy Grant, Luke Bryan, Brooks & Dunn and Miley Cyrus.

Fans of Aldean have plenty of opportunities to get <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push([‘_trackPageview’, ‘/outgoing/article_exit_link’]);” href=”http://www.stubhub.com/jason-aldean-tickets/”>Jason Aldean tickets</a> from <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push([‘_trackPageview’, ‘/outgoing/article_exit_link’]);” href=”http://www.stubhub.com/”>StubHub.com</a>, because his schedule is jam packed! In addition to his very own headlining tour, the “Big Green Tractor” singer will open for legendary country duo Brooks & Dunn on their Last Rodeo Tour. “I’ve been a fan of those guys for as long as they’ve been around and never had a chance to tour with them all. I’ve done a couple of shows with them here and there, but that was always a tour that I wanted them to be on—to go out with Brooks and Dunn,” Aldean previously told The Boot about his decision to take on two tours.

Jason Aldean, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum and Carrie Underwood each received three nominations, while 10 other country-fried acts received two nominations.

The finalists for the Video of the Year honor have yet to be announced, and fans will have to wait until the beginning of the June 9 show in Nashville, Tenn. to find out! The New York Times reports that one of country’s most famous couples, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, have recruited the likes of Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus to perform at a benefit concert dubbed “Nashville Rising: A Benefit Concert for Flood Recovery.” The benefit will be held on June 22 and will also feature performances by Brooks & Dunn, LeAnn Rimes, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Amy Grant.

Keith Urban Tickets – Keith Urban to Be Busy at CMT Awards

On June 9, countless country music fans will be glued to their television sets for the live broadcast of the 2010 CMT Music Awards, which take place in Nashville.   Keith Urban will be busy during the broadcast, as he is set to play the song “Hit the Road Running” with John Mayer. The song is off of his 2009 album Defying Gravity. Urban and Mayer join a long list of stars performing at the event, including LeAnn Rimes, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley and many more.

The list of presenters is also chocked full of celebrities, with names like cooking queen Paula Deen, NFL great Terrell Owens, Trisha Yearwood and more handing out awards. Keith Urban could also be taking home a couple of those awards. He is up for Video of the Year for “‘Til Summer Comes Around.” He will be up against Toby Keith (“American Ride”), Carrie Underwood (“Cowboy Casanova”), Kenny Chesney (“Out Last Night”), Lady Antebellum (“Need You Now”), Zac Brown Band (“Toes”), Jason Aldean (“The Truth”), Brad Paisley (“Welcome to the Future”), Miranda Lambert (“White Liar”) and Taylor Swift (“You Belong with Me”).  The same video is up for Male Video of the Year against Toby Keith, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw (“Southern Voice”) and Billy Currington (“People Are Crazy”).

The performance at the CMT Awards is a preview for an upcoming episode of CMT Crossroads with Keith Urban and John Mayer. CMT Crossroads: John Mayer and Keith Urban will premier on June 18th on CMT at 10pm ET/PT. The episode will see the duo playing Urban’s hits like “‘Til Summer Comes Around” and “Sweet Thing” as well as Mayer’s hits like “Perfectly Lonely” and “Gravity.” Urban was on CMT Crossroads before with John Fogerty and Mayer also took a turn with Brad Paisley on a previous episode.

While it may not appear that Urban has much free time, he has squeezed in a benefit concert on July 23 at the UCLA’s LA Tennis Center. He will perform as part of the Grammy Foundation’s Starry Night Concert. The Grammy Foundation helps promote music education programs and the concert is in addition to Urban’s other stops this summer, including many country music festival stops. Fans won’t want to wait to get <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push([‘_trackPageview’, ‘/outgoing/article_exit_link’]);” href=”http://www.stubhub.com/keith-urban-tickets/”>Keith Urban tickets</a> for his concerts at <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push([‘_trackPageview’, ‘/outgoing/article_exit_link’]);” href=”http://www.stubhub.com/”>StubHub.com</a>.

Being a country star keeps Keith Urban busy, but he has still made an impressive commitment to his family. According to People magazine, his wife, actress Nicole Kidman, revealed that the two strive to never spend more than three days apart. Urban and Kidman have one child together, a daughter named Sunday Rose. Urban may be busy, but his wife is working hard to keep her schedule light. Kidman said, “I think I’ve reached a point in my life where I’ve slowed down a lot, so it’s not difficult. My priority is very much keeping my family together and not being away from them.” The two Aussie stars have been through a lot in their time together, and they seem as strong as ever.
