Adobe Flash : support for 3D graphics program for the next version Adobe has confirmed its intention to add new 3D capabilities to its Flash player. These improvements will be unveiled in October at the Adobe Max conference.
According to an article by Cnet.com Stephen Shankland, Adobe plans to integrate support for 3D graphics in the next major version of its Flash reader. According to Shankland, it could be Flash 11. Adobe will unveil the project at its annual conference Adobe Max, which will be held from October 25 to 27.
“If you are working in developing 3D games, augmented reality or on just about interactive applications such as web sites, you can not miss this session,” says product manager Thibault Imbert.
Adobe has already introduced some 3D features in Flash 10 since 2008. But the publisher must go further then that happens in the 3D Internet browsers in other ways. Chrome, Firefox and Safari have opted for technology WebGL based on the OpenGL standard.
The other big news expected from a Flash 11 is that it will support 64-bit. Adobe has given no date for the release of this new version. The shift to 3D was finally expected, since the Adobe Flash player wipes the criticisms of some large companies like Apple, while being threatened by the arrival of new technologies such as HTML 5. If for the moment, the Flash player is still heavily used to show videos, it may be superseded eventually by the tags of HTML 5. It is therefore not surprising that Adobe diverse opportunities for the reader.
