This August, Do Not Miss the State Fair

There are many things that Great Falls, Montana is known for. Chances are, you have taken part in a few of the events and activities that go on in the city. However, if you have missed out on the Montana State Fair in the past, then you will want to make sure to enjoy it this August. Designed to provide entertainment and activity for people of all ages, the fair offers something for everyone.

If you do not know what you are missing at the Montana State Fair, here are just a few of the things that will go on this August. You will definitely want to make sure you are in town for these Great Falls events.

Each evening of the fair, a number of concerts will take place. These concerts include well-known names and music of all types so everyone will find a concert to enjoy. This year, concerts will include such talent as Lifehouse for rock fans, Styx for those who enjoy classic rock, and for people who enjoy country music, concerts will include Leann Rimes, Darius Rucker, Keith Anderson and Clay Walker. Some concerts are free so make sure you do not miss out on those!

If you and your family enjoy the carnival atmosphere, then you will find it at the state fair. The carnival section of the fair will include everything from a variety of rides, from fun to thrilling, a selection of fair food, from cotton candy to funnel cake, and games like balloon pops and fun fishing. A carnival is fun for all ages and you will not want to miss the one at the Montana State Fair.

In addition to the fun mentioned above, there will also be a number of exhibits and competitions at the fair. People from Great Falls and other places all over Montana will take part in competitions and exhibits. Livestock shows take place for youth and adults; gardening and floriculture exhibits will include beautiful flowers and farm plants. In addition, there will be competitions for photography, art, and cooking.
