Washington Local Government Office Improves Productivity and Stretches Their Budget With Avg Anti-virus

Jeff Bush is the Applications and Network Systems Specialist for Grant County’s Technology Services division, based in Ephrata, Washington. He leads a five-member team that supervises a sprawling network of 600 workstations and 49 servers across the county’s 20 offices, agencies and departments in 12 different locations.

Grant County had been relying on Computer Associates (CA) Anti-Virus to protect the majority of the county’s offices, while the Department of Public Works used Panda Anti-Virus. It was this inconsistency of standards of protection that prompted Bush to begin considering a new approach to protection – one that would take a lot less resources to manage.

“We have a lot of network for five people to manage,” he said, “so I wanted to consolidate all of the county’s Internet security protection with a single solution. Using two different products with different detection methods and update cycles was really putting a strain on our resources.”

But the biggest driver for change, according to Bush, was the team’s frustration with technical support.

“We were having all kinds of problems with CA,” he recalled. “First, the software tried to take over our network! Then we were hit with a couple of viruses that made it past the initial defenses. Walling Data Secures State-of-the-Art School Network with AVG Anti-Virus

Hickory, NC – April 24th, 2009 – The Chambers County Board of Education prides itself on operating some of Alabama’s most high-tech, state-of-the-art information technology systems. Ccleaner – The Ultimate Windows Registry Fix

It would be hard for me to call the programme I recently installed on my desktop simply a registry cleaner. After a single session of use and subsequent fiddling around – lasting less than half an hour, I would call this one of the most well thought out programmes on the internet today. I would even label it as being the ultimate registry fix for Windows-based computers.

They layout is simple, Spartan even, but don’t let that fact take away its direct design, clear fonts and easy to use panels. There are no instructions necessary, the Ccleaner is literally self explanatory in nature – a layman’s layman could use this without any fuss.

Firstly, on its primary job as a registry cleaner, it does so winningly, the execution of its scanning tool to its final report is fast and efficient; a complete tactile experience. When one clicks on the ‘Registry’ tab, one is greeted with a registry integrity submenu, which lists all the problems known to plague registries in Windows world wide.
