When taking a ride on The Great South Pacific Express, sample many great destinations like Sydney, the capital city of Canberra, and on your way to the Great Barrier Reef, tropical Cairns provides your Australia Tour fix. The Great South Pacific Express features solid red cedar wood walls, myrtle burl panels and stained glass roofs making the train one of the most luxurious trains in all of the world.

The Queensland Rail and Venice Simplon Orient Express came together to produce a train that is 20 cars long with excellent sleeping carriages. These carriages are all en suite and air conditioned making it the equivalent to a 4 star hotel on rails. With a variety of restaurant and lounge cars, the Express specializes in personal service with a distinctive European style. This is obtained by placing a steward in every carriage to assure optimum passenger satisfaction Also, a pianist provides entertainment while you enjoy views from the Observation car making it an excellent place to observe the scenery as it waltzes by you.

If you are tired of being a passenger of planes, trains and automobiles why not take a safari to see what the real Australia has to offer. Like judging a book by its cover, there are volumes of fantastic attractions that can not be seen from the side of the road. Like age old African safaris, get off the beaten path, or any path at all, in a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Visit the infamous Outback desert or in contrast a balmy tropical rainforest. With so many national parks and deserted beaches it is like having your own private country.

Locations you must see start in cities such as Darwin and Uluru where you can explore the Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks, Kings Canyoun and the Uluru rock, mataranka and more. While in the area the Atherton Tablelands, Katherine Gorge and many outback cattle stations are quite intriguing. While traveling the coastline near Melbourne, check out the seals at Cape Bridgewater or discover Coorong National Park or travel the Great Ocean Road.

Near Adelaide you can check out the Barossa Valley wineries, and explore the outback mining community of Coober Pedy. Natural wonders include the regal Flinders ranges and Wilpena Pond. On the way from Sydney to Cairns, take a moment to fondly reflect on Byron bay, see working sheep farms and take time out to relax on the beach at Surfers Paradise or set sail sampling the islands in the Witsundays.

Taylor Swift Tickets – Taylor Swift to Headline Her Very Own Tour

As she continues to ride the Billboard charts, young country star Taylor Swift will embark on another journey-her first headlining tour. Taylor Swift’s tour will kick off in Evansville, Ind. April 23 and, according to http://Billboard.com, will feature multiple costume changes and a fairy tale theme. Swift’s sophomore album Fearless has spent eight straight weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and moved 2.4 million since its November 2008 release. The tour will be in support of the album, which is the top seller of 2009 so far with 287,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. Swift will play three one-offs before the tour, including a March 20 show at Houston’s Livestock Show and Rodeo; Kelli Pickler and up-and-comer Gloriana will open all dates. Swift is slated to play fall dates in the U.K. after her run in North America and a trip to Japan is also on the horizon. Last fall Scott Borchetta, president of Swift’s record label Big Machine, commented on Swift’s stint on the road: “It will be super thrilling for her fans in the States to see photos of her in front of Buckingham Palace, downtown Tokyo and then the next time she’s in Cedar Rapids [Iowa] she’ll be that much a bigger star, but still Taylor-approachable.” Check out http://www.stubhub.com/taylor-swift-tickets for Taylor Swift tickets.

Although one might assume she is a southern belle because of her country songs, Taylor Swift actually hails from Reading, Pennsylvania. Swift grew up listening to country artists like Dolly Parton, LeAnn Rimes and Patsy Cline and persuaded her family to relocate to a suburb of the country music Mecca of Nashville when she was just 14 so she could pursue her dreams of stardom. Big Machine Records president Scott Borchetta heard Swift’s demo take and quickly swooped up the fledgling singer. In 2006 Swift’s debut single, “Tim McGraw,” was released, followed by her eponymous debut album. “Tim McGraw” was a breakaway hit and its music video put a face with a name-err, voice-making Swift the biggest up-and-comer on the country scene. Subsequent singles “Our Song” and “Teardrops on My Guitar” were also successful and in 2007 Swift became the youngest artist to win the Songwriter/Artist of the Year award at the Nashville Songwriters Association.

After “Love Story” became her next hit single, Taylor Swift released her sophomore album, Fearless. The singer, who is known for wearing her heart on her sleeve, penned nearly all of the songs on the album and drew from personal experiences such as breakups. Although most teenage girls don’t get the chance to date Joe Jonas, Swift often transforms her diary entries into songs and that is the reason for her relatability. (The middle Jo Bro broke up with Swift in a 25-second phone call so expect a song about the messy breakup to appear on the singer’s next album!) Now 18 years old, Swift has notched six autobiographical songs on the Billboard charts and doesn’t appear to be slowing any time soon! Get your Taylor Swift tickets soon!

Scientology Volunteer Ministers South Pacific Goodwill Tour in the Village of Pangaimotu

When the Scientology Volunteer Ministers South Pacific Goodwill tour moved their operation to the island of Vava’u last month, residents of the village of Pangaimotu heard about their work through radio and TV broadcasts and invited the volunteers to come to their island to deliver a workshop.

Pangaimotu is the name of a village and an island a half hour by boat from the capital of the Vava’u district of Tonga.  The Town Officer welcomed the Scientologists to the village and found them a hall in a local church where they could deliver their workshop. Then he brought them to visit each of the 185 houses in the village to invite every family to attend.

While walking through the village, one of the couples they met thanked the Scientologists for helping them through a very rough period in their lives. The volunteers were surprised and the couple explained that a short while earlier, they had picked up some of the Volunteer Minister booklets when the Goodwill Tour was in Nuku’alofa, the capital of Tonga. Then, when trouble struck, the couple had the solutions they needed, to pull them through the crises they experienced.

Just as the Scientologists were about to begin presenting the workshop, a baby in the audience began to cry.  The Scientology Volunteer Ministers showed those attending a simple technique anyone can use to help someone calm down.  L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of the Scientology religion, developed a body of technology called Scientology “Assists.” An assist is a Scientology process that alleviates present time discomforts or difficulties. The particular assist the Scientology Volunteer Ministers demonstrated is called a “Locational Assist.”  Easy to learn and do, a locational is done by directing a person’s attention off the painful area of his body or his difficulties and out onto the environment. When the parents used it, the child immediately stopped crying and became cheerful again.

Carrying on with the agenda they had planned, the Scientologists then covered techniques to improve the ability to learn, communicate and resolve conflicts.

Having attended the workshop, the people of the village of Pangaimotu understand why the motto of the Scientology Volunteer Ministers is “Something CAN be done about it”, and they now have tools they can use to improve their lives.

Linda Wieland writes for the Scientology Press Office in Los Angeles, CA.

South Pacific- This epic musical romance centers on a group of American sailors and Navy nurses stationed in the South Pacific during World War II. Arkansas native Nellie Forbush befriends and quickly falls for Emile de Becque, a French expatriate and plantation owner. As the war against Japan escalates, reality sets in for both Forbush and Cable, who struggle to reconcile their unconventional love affairs with their long-held prejudices and insecurities.

Scientology Volunteer Ministers South Pacific Goodwill Tour Welcomed to the Island of Vava’u

Traditional ceremony and ritual opened the Scientology Volunteer Ministers Goodwill Tour on the Island of Vava’u in the kingdom of Tonga.

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers South Pacific Goodwill Tour is continuing its work in the Kingdom of Tonga, with a grand opening on the island of Vava’u.  Tonga is an archipelago of 169 islands one-third of the way between New Zealand and Hawaii.

Local performers welcomed the Scientology Volunteer Ministers with a prayer and songs and the chief magistrate of the island, on behalf of the people of Vava’u, thanked the Scientology Volunteer Ministers for coming to their island.

A dancer performed the ‘Tulou kihe niu vakai’—a traditional greeting for honored guests and friends—before cutting the ribbon in front of the big yellow tent where the volunteers will provide courses, seminars and one-on-one help.

Having opened the tent in the capital city of Vava’u, the Scientology Volunteer Ministers are offering their services on a grassroots level by visiting the local villages.  The first place they went to was Talihau, a fitting first stop as its name means “to welcome the Chief,” coming from the days when any boat arriving from other islands would land and be welcomed by this village first.

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers began their visit to Tonga on the island of Tongatapu, where they found that drug and alcohol abuse were a major concern of the local officials and community leaders.  They provided drug-education lectures, using information in the Scientology Handbook which is based on the research of Scientology founder, L. Ron Hubbard.

Tonga is the third South Pacific nation of this goodwill tour, which began in Fiji and moved next to Samoa. On completing their work in Tonga, the Scientology Volunteer Ministers will move on to Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.

Linda Wieland writes for the Scientology Press Office in Los Angeles, CA.

Swift Concert Tickets Fearless Tour

And that’s not all there is to this attractive young woman! Taylor has already earned plenty of awards that comprise of three Grammys.

This Pennsylvania born singer began writing songs at the age of 10. At about the same age she also started attending and partaking in singing events including festivals, public or state fairs and karaoke shows not far from Wyomissing. She’s even said to have won a poetry skills contest when she was in fourth grade. Her entry was titled “Monster In My Closet,” that that covered three pages.

Her primary brush with song writing happened after she learned to play three chords on the guitar, taught to her by a man who repaired computers. Swift penned a song titled “Lucky You,” and followed it with others which she used as therapy to deal with her difficulty fitting in the classroom.

Inspired by country vocalists such as Dolly Parton, Tina Turner, LeAnn Rimes, Shania Twain, Patsy Cline and the Dixie Chicks, Swift, made it to Nashville when she was 11, wishing to strike a record deal based on the demo she’d taped of her performing abilities. Unfortunately, nothing came of that but an introduction to rejection.

Taylor didn’t give in. Soon after her return Swift gained media highlight for her rendition of the national anthem, performed at the US Open tournament. She began using the 12-string guitar by the age of 12 and didn’t stop driving down to Nashville, teaming up with locally known lyricists and writing songs.  By age 14 her father and mother made up their minds to relocate to a suburb in Nashville where Swift was presented a contract with RCA Record at 15, but opted against signing up with them.

Shortly afterwards, Taylor was noticed by  Scott Borchetta who’d recently started a new label – Big Machines Records. She put out her first single titled “Tim McGraw” in 2006. It reached No 6 on the Billboard Country Chart. She released her first album, titled ‘Taylor Swift,’ a couple of months later. It created a massive storm. In two years’ time that album has sold over 3 million copies and recorded downloads of 7.5 million singles.

Her ensuing album, Fearless, debuted approximately two years later in November, 2008. It climbed right to the top of the Billboard 200 Album Chart and made history on several other counts. The stupendous success instigated Taylor to organize her first tour named after Fearless. The Fearless Tour 2009 got rolling on the 23rd of April, 2009 in Evansville, Indiana. It spanned 6 months spanning 50 cities around the world with all shows achieving sold-out status rapidly, making it the most attended and talked about tours in 2009.

After seeing its success Taylor has now announced the second leg entitled the Fearless Tour 2010 which will kick off in Australia in February 2010 and draws to a close on the 2nd of June in North America.
