The Top 5 Best Country Love Songs

It is all about pain and frequently about love, whether it’s loss of love, or unrequited love, just like many pop songs, but the Country songs tell a story, and the heartfelt words are often enough to bring a tear to even the strongest eye. But with all the Country Love songs you can listen to, which are the best and which ones should you choose to listen to.

5: “I Fall to Pieces” Patsy Cline
Patsy Cline was born September 8th 1932 and enjoyed success as a Country Music singer, crossing over into Pop, and is considered one of the most successful artists. “I Fall to Pieces,” was released in 1961, and climbed to number 1 in the Country charts.

4: I can’t help it (If I’m still in love with you) Hank Williams
Hank Williams Hank was born Hiram King in 1923, and is considered one of the best if not the best C. Music singer, his legendary status was only reinforced when he died at only 29. He released “I can’t help it” in 1951 with Howling at the moon. Hank had 11 number 1 hits and his influence over this genre is widespread and still growing. Hank can be considered the backbone.

3: “How Do I Live” LeAnn Rimes
LeAnn Rimes born 1982, is a cross genre artist, and although not considered by everyone to be a true Country singer, her single “how do I live” became very successful and the longest running single in the top 100 billboard, although the single is not necessarily considered pure Country by Country purists, her cross genre songs are very commercial, enjoyed even by those who don’t enjoy Country.

2: “You Were Always on my Mind” Willie Nelson
Willie Nelson was born in 1933 and is an iconic C. Music singer, and has remained successful throughout his life. “You Were Always on my Mind” was written by Johnny Christopher, but Willie Nelson recorded a version in 1982 and become number one on the Country singles chart. The song has been covered before and since, although this version is popular among Country enthusiasts.

1: “I Will Always Love You” Dolly Parton
Dolly Parton was born in 1946, and is one of the most famous female Country singers, over 25 number one hits. She wrote “I Will Always Love You,” and in 1974 it went to number one in the charts, but more famously Whitney Houston covered the song in 1992 and it became an instant number 1 hit, as a soundtrack for The Bodyguard. It was a massive international hit and is considered the biggest selling single of all time.

There are many other Country Music love songs, others perhaps that sold more singles but didn’t have quite the same influence over the genre, crossing the great divide into popular music, as well as impressing diehard fans – something that is notoriously hard to achieve.

Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings click here:

Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings (often shortened to AGE2, The Age of Kings, AoE II or AoK) is a real-time strategy (RTS) video game developed by Ensemble Studios and published by Microsoft. Released in 1999 for the Microsoft Windows and Macintosh operating systems, it was the second game in the Age of Empires series. An expansion, The Conquerors, was released in 2000. A PlayStation 2 version was released by Konami in 2001, and a Nintendo DS spinoff, Age of Empires: The Age of Kings was developed by Backbone Entertainment in 2006. The Dreamcast port, by Konami, was canceled.

The Age of Kings is set in the Middle Ages and contains thirteen playable civilizations. They are the Britons, Byzantines, Celts, Goths, Teutons, Franks, Mongols, Chinese, Japanese, Persians, Saracens, Turks and the Vikings. Players aim to gather resources, which they use to build towns, create armies, and ultimately defeat their enemies. There are five historically-based campaigns, which constrict the player to specialized and story-backed conditions. There are three additional single player game modes, and multiplayer is supported. Despite using the same game engine and similar code to its predecessor, development of The Age of Kings took a year longer than expected, forcing Ensemble Studios to release Age of Empires: The Rise of Rome in 1998 instead. The design team focused on resolving significant issues in Age of Empires, but noted on release that some problems remained.

Reception of The Age of Kings was overwhelmingly positive, and the game scored highly on review aggregators. The significant number of new features was praised, as were the gameplay improvements. Some reviewers were critical of the presentation of units—they were seen as bland and uninteresting—while others considered The Age of Kings to be overly similar to its predecessor, Age of Empires. Three months after its release, two million copies of The Age of Kings had been shipped, and it topped sales charts in seven countries. The game won multiple awards and has had a significant impact on future games in its genre.

Alabama – the Heart of Dixie

America’s 22nd state, Alabama has long played a key and very dramatic role in the civil and human rights history of the United States . Also proudly known as “the Heart of Dixie,” Alabama has transitioned from the almost totally agricultural society of its Confederate/post Confederate Civil War Reconstruction days to today being a thriving hub for aerospace, health care, education, banking and various technical manufacturing industries.

Although Alabama is sometimes unfortunately associated with some of the worst violations of civil rights, especially against African Americans, in the late 19th/early 20th century, two of the strongest reformers and leaders of the “Progressive Movement” that would forever impact the United States were two Alabamian women, Pattie Ruffner Jacobs and Sue Berta Coleman. After reconstructionism forced Alabama to become an increasingly industrialized and urbanized society, many Alabama women found that their constraining, traditional “ladylike” Southern belle roles had to be abandoned as necessity led them away from being simple homemakers to working in the public arena. They encountered prejudice, disease, illiteracy and many other social problems that they attempted to address and ameliorate.

Pattie Ruffner Jacobs was white, Sue Berta Coleman was black, and the two women never met each other. Early 20th century Alabama ’s society was still segregated, so while black and white women worked on many of the same issues, it was through separate organizations. However, both groups worked for social and humanitarian reforms in Alabama such as child welfare, temperance, health issues, neighborhood improvements and literacy programs. Some of these important organizations were the Alabama Federation of Women’s Clubs, the Alabama Federation of Colored Women’s Clubs, the Alabama Child Labor Committee, the Alabama Equal Suffrage Association and the Alabama Woman’s Christian Temperance Union.

Although complicated by the campaign to disenfranchise black voters in Alabama and, indeed, throughout the South, many Alabama women were led into the women’s suffrage movement in their desire to gain more power and influence in Progressive reform issues. Alabama’s suffrage leader Pattie Ruffner Jacobs was instrumental in the national ratification of the 19th Amendment, (the women’s suffrage amendment), and by 1920, Alabama Progressive Movement accomplishments included education, prison and industrial reforms, as well as schools for girls and boys.

For her part, Sue Berta Coleman began innovative programs for Alabama ’s black families in nutrition, childcare, literacy and vocational training, especially for young black women. Although the initial concentration was on family and domestic skills such as cooking and sewing, most of the women later attended college – unheard of just a few years before — and became teachers. This is indeed apropos to the fact that recent historians have called the actions of these brave Alabama women in the Progressive Movement “social housekeeping,” or the traditional nurturer/caregiver female role extended to the public sphere.

Are Tamanu Aitutaki Could Be The Most Romantic Hotel In The South Pacific

Of all the South Pacific destinations, it is arguable that the Are Tamanu Aitutaki, one of the top Cook Island luxury resorts is in fact the most romantic hotel in the South Pacific.

If you are going on a romantic vacation, or your honeymoon for that matter and you have in mind a South Pacific destination, then in my opinion the Are Tamanu Aitutaki ranks amongst the top five worlds best beach resorts, and I hope to be able to convince you that this is the case from my own personal experience.

Are Tamanu is not a five star resort, and I am accustomed to this type of hotel, so I was somewhat apprehensive before setting out, despite the fact that my husband was absolutely certain that I would think it was the most romantic resort in the South Pacific.

The first thing to know is you have to arrive at Rarotonga and then catch another short flight to Aitutaki. You quickly realise you are in another world, not only because of the spectacular views from the aircraft, but also because in the very few minutes it takes you to get to the hotel you realise that what they mean by a road is really a sand track.

I found this whole environment so much more romantic that Tahiti, so much less commercialised, so much more the authentic South Pacific of my dreams.

It is the colors that hit you first, the shockingly bright blues, turquoises, greens, and the white of the beaches, it is extraordinary.

The huge beautiful lagoon is almost beyond description, and there was our resort sitting right next to it!!

The rooms were large, and clean, and comfortable, but not modern. Having said that they were what I’d always imagined South Pacific to be, and I just fell in love with the place, the people, just everything. No TV or radio was another bonus, this was just bare feet paradise – my husband couldn’t spend his time on the phone to the office, or his laptop for that matter.

The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced, we went for a cruise around the lagoon, and I got to go to islands with wonderful names like One Foot Island where we had a superb BBQ lunch. I also discovered this is where they film Survivor, and also visited the beautiful Honeymoon Island.

The whole vacation at Are Tamanu was just so relaxing, but to me the real highlights were the local people, so genuinely friendly, the clors, and the snorkelling right in front of our door so to speak.

I definitely think we stayed in one of the most romantic hotels in the South Pacific if not the most romantic

Last Minute Flight

This release finds the smooth jazz saxophone superstar paired with vocal giants ranging from Barbra Streisand, Gladys Knight, and Chaka Khan to pop stars including LeAnn Rimes, Daryl Hall, Richard Marx, Brian McKnight, and Earth, Wind and Fire just to name a few.

He also enlisted some instrumental industry heavyweights to pitch in as well. Including trumpeter Arturo Sandoval, saxophonist David Sanborn, pianist David Benoit, and the legendary composer Burt Bacharach.

The CD formula largely works, coming off as a breezy, laid back concert with G adding soft asides to his guest’s vocal performances.

Cheapest Flights Guide Click here

On track 7 Brian McKnight delivers a very nice rendition of Careless Whispers, and on what could be the highlight of the collection, track 5, Chaka Khan actually betters Christina Aguilera’s already outstanding Beautiful. Making it her very own as only she can.

Another very good song is track 6, Pick Up The Pieces on which G teams up with fellow sax smooth jazz Hall of Famer David Sanborn. The pairing of the two saxophone legends leads to a very intriguing sound combination.

I give At Last… The Duets Album my highest recommendation. It just plain belongs in any serious music collectors collection regardless of genre preference.

One of the refreshingly nice things about this CD is the way all of the participating artists seem to be really enjoying themselves. Combine that with the overall presentation and you’ve got one of Kenny G’s most impressive releases ever.

While this entire CD is outstanding the truly standout tunes and SmoothJazz247.com favorites are Don’t Know Why [track 2], Pick Up The Pieces [track 6], and Baby Come To Me [track 9]. My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore […as in “Stuck On REpeat”] is track 7, Careless Whisper. Very nice!
